Cobalt steel (V10): Heat-treated and forged with selective, dual „tempering“. This optimi-
ses the large hardening and sharpness levels and the amazing elasticity of the scissors.
Blade: Microgrid cutting. Finish, 10 000 graduation and ground on the inside to be con-
vex / concave. Razor-blade sharp.

japanese style
Multi-layered damask steel (32 / 16 layers). Created by forging a package with multiple
layers and multiple types of steel with different carbon content. Thanks to the multip-
le repeated hammering and bending procedures, this creates a steel rod that can be
shaped as required by an additional forging procedure. This multi-layered composition
is the unusual characteristic of this steel and is responsible for the high hardness level
of the blade and the high elasticity of the scissors as a whole. The irregularity of the
layers forged on top of each other is different for every pair of scissors, just like a finger-
print, making each pair of damask scissors a unique handmade object. Blade: Microgrid
cutting. Finish, 18 000 graduation and ground on the inside to be convex / concave.
